Why we started

The idea behind the club

Basel is a city full of remarkable women, but finding your people here isn't always easy. We wanted to change that.

her girls club started as an idea over coffee: what if there was a place. a real, physical community, where women in Basel could meet, connect and build something together? Not just a networking event. Not just a fitness class. Something that actually felt like belonging.

We started with an afterwork drinks evening in November 2025. The response was immediate. Women showed up, conversations flowed, friendships started. And we knew we were onto something worth building.

Lisa Bauer
Lisa Bauer
Co-Founder

Lisa combines a background in the healthcare industry, with experience at Roche and Novartis, with a natural strength for community, people and culture. A true connector, she has built a strong network in Basel and beyond.

With a sharp instinct for social dynamics and trends, she creates authentic connections and highly engaging environments. Lisa is the person who makes every room feel like the right room.

Katharina Urlaub
Katharina Urlaub
Co-Founder

Katharina brings 12+ years of experience in marketing across corporate environments, startups and community-driven concepts. With a Master's in Marketing and an MBA, she combines strategic thinking, business growth and creativity.

Her background includes roles at Roche and Novartis, as well as co-founding Pilates Social Collective. Katharina is the force behind the vision, the strategy and the aesthetic that makes her girls club what it is.
